Anawhata
Only accessible by foot, Anawhata's rural scenery, black sand beaches and jagged cliffs provided an atmospheric setting for filming.

Auckland’s flagship facility is Kumeū Film Studios, boasting two sound stages, a large warehouse stage, extensive workshops and construction space, covered dive tank, exterior ocean surface tank and 30 acres of forest backlot.
